Terms of Use

The rules for using gugu’s website and buying from us.

These terms apply to guguarabia.com and anything you buy or access through it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. Delivery and returns are covered in our Shipping and Returns page. Data is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Using our website

Use the site lawfully. Please do not harm it, disrupt it, or try to access areas you are not meant to. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, including delivery addresses.

Store basics

Prices and VAT

Prices are in Bahraini Dinar unless stated. VAT and delivery fees are shown at checkout before you pay.

Pricing errors

If a product is shown at the wrong price, we may cancel the order, even after confirmation. We will tell you and refund anything you paid. You can still buy at the correct price.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract starts when we confirm it by email. We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock.

You can cancel or update an order within 6 hours of placing it. See Cancelling or updating an order.

Out of stock

If an item sells out after you order, we will contact you. You can choose a refund or an equivalent item. In gift boxes, we may substitute an item of equal or greater value and will tell you before dispatch where we can.

Promo codes

  • One code per order, unless stated
  • Codes cannot be combined, exchanged for cash or applied after an order is placed
  • Codes may have an expiry date or minimum spend
  • We may withdraw a code that is misused

Gift cards

  • Valid for [12] months from purchase, for use on guguarabia.com
  • Not refundable or exchangeable for cash
  • Treat them like cash. We cannot replace lost or stolen cards or codes

Personalised items

Please check spellings and details before you confirm. We make personalised items exactly as submitted.

Corporate gifting

We provide curation, personalisation and delivery of gift boxes to companies, with optional use of the HR gifting portal. Corporate services run under a separate written agreement or proposal. If it conflicts with these terms, the agreement comes first.

  • Portal use: you are responsible for the accuracy of recipient details and for having the right to share them with us.
  • Changes and cancellations: free up to 48 hours before the scheduled dispatch date. After that we may not be able to change the order, and a fulfilment fee may apply.
  • Branded materials: custom materials we create for your programme remain yours. We may refer to our work with your company in general terms, unless you ask us in writing not to.

Product safety

Age suitability

Each product page states the suitable age. Please follow it. Some items are for display or keepsake use only, and are marked as such. Always supervise babies and young children with any product.

Materials and allergens

We list materials and, where relevant, ingredients on product pages. If a baby has known allergies or sensitive skin, please check before gifting. Contact us if you want more detail on an item.

Care instructions

Follow the care label. Wash fabric items before first use unless the label says otherwise. Stop using any item that is damaged, loose or worn.

Recalls

If a product is found to be unsafe, we will stop selling it and contact affected buyers by email or phone using their order details. We will explain what to do and offer a refund or replacement. For corporate clients, your account manager will contact you directly. If you have a safety concern, email [email protected] straight away.

Photos and reviews

If you send us a photo, testimonial or review, you give gugu permission to show it on our website, social channels and marketing, with the name you choose. You confirm it is yours to share.

  • We never share a photo showing a baby’s face without clear written consent from a parent or guardian.
  • You can withdraw permission any time by email. We will remove it going forward, though we cannot recall material already printed or published by others.
  • Keep it honest, lawful and respectful. No hate, abuse, spam, false claims, or personal details of other people.
  • We may edit for length or remove content that breaks these rules.

Reviews are not paid for. If we ever gift a product in return for a review, we will say so.

Intellectual property

All site content belongs to gugu or is used with permission. That includes text, images, the gugu name and logo, designs, and the layout of the site. Please do not copy, distribute or use it without our written permission.

Complaints

If something is not right, tell us. Email [email protected] with your name, order number and what happened.

  • We acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days.
  • We aim to resolve it, or give you a clear update, within 14 days.
  • If you are not happy with our answer, ask for it to be reviewed by a senior member of the team.
  • You may also contact the relevant consumer protection authority, or the courts, at any time.

Liability

We take reasonable care to keep the site accurate and deliver as described. We cannot promise the site will always be available or free of errors. Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of business, revenue or reputation. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

General

Force majeureWe are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disaster, war, strikes, supply or carrier disruption, customs action, government orders, or utility and internet failure. We will tell you as soon as we reasonably can and do what we can to limit the impact.Changes to these termsWe may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Orders are covered by the terms in place when you placed them.SeverabilityIf any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.Entire agreementThese terms, with our Privacy Policy, Shipping and Returns page, and any written corporate agreement, are the whole agreement between you and gugu on this subject.No waiverIf we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Disputes go to the courts of Bahrain, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
